Helping hands
U believe in philanthrophy ?I guess most of you mite be ...as is it well said "punaye-daan" in our mythology..do we really do a punya by offering money wenever some poor thing asks for it ?
R u really helping dose poors asking you for help..I have a completely different view to this, wenever i see some one taking alms from someone my heart really aches n not becoz of da dreaded conditions of the poors in our country but by the stupidity of people who offers them alms n help them increase their beggar family .
Every body of us knows the cons of such acts but i dont understand that then too y people in our society helps it to rise ..It is a basic nature of a human that if can get anething without much effort n pain then why would he choose the difficult path coz its really easy to compromise over the values for someone who has been born n brought under such conditions.N we make them feel right by showing our generosity which actually is harming them instead of doing anything right to such people.
All those people who offer alms to beggars are seriously giving them a life long loss. Why dont beggarS, when theY have all dose Gid gifted resources with him, try to work n earn respect n dignity for him.I guess the answer is we the people who considers us to b sofisticated enough n blessed enough to spread our earnings just to earn 'punya'.I guess those people are selfish enough to see the other side to it .Many small children are being tortured so that they may beg all through their life ..i really need to understand that in what sense r these people helping them out .
Help which i feel in real sense is if we offer them to eat n if we provide with the basic amenities which is not much bigger as a task ..help them attend schools so that it may brighten their life insted of burning their future .Instead of giving alms all through your life it is better to offer education to sumone, food to needy n medical facilities to a poor. And if all those seems to be long enough then a simple habit of not offering money to them will help.Infact in my eyes offering a small child a choclate is better ..i know it wont fill its stomach but it may provide him happiness no matter if its momentary.
Give it a thought coz whats small for you may be life for someone..Stop being selfish try friendliness..it will help :)
